Pannaiyarum Padminiyum starring Vijay Sethupathi, Jaya Prakash, Ishwarya Rajesh, Thulasi, Bala , Neelima Rani with Attakathi Dinesh and Sneha as a gust role is a peacful and heart touching village entertainer shows the importance of a car and its relationship with the people.

Vijay Sethupathi as Murugesan in the lead asusual did justice to the role. Especially when either he shows his love towards Padmini(Car) or Ishwarya he does justice to his role.
He is proving to be a promising upcoming actor with acting skills completely loaded. " You have a promising career bro". All the best.

Jayaparakash as Pannaiyar and Thulasi as his wife acted excellently. Especially love scenes between them was more promising than the young pair of the film. They both lived in the movie. Tremendous performance from them.

Ishwarya Rajesh as a newcomer has some scope in the film and she rightly used her chance. Perfectly suits the village girl role and also performed well.

Bala as Peedai (who starred in the lead in the original short film)  is the major comic relief for the film. Even though this film is his actual debut he acted like veteran. Especially his scenes with Vijay Sethupathy and Padmini are superb.

Positive Shades Of The Film

The film is going peacefully with out any bloodshed after long time. The movie which revolves around the car show the beautiful relationship between a car and a family why even a village. It is right to say that even car has lived in its character. The romance between Pannaiyar and his wife shows the cuteness that exists between old couples. Comedy scenes are new and excellent. Neelima Rani as Pannaiyar's daughter acted well. Cameo appearance by Dinesh and Sneha are good.

Cinematography by Gokul Benoy was awesome. It gets the audience through the movie. Justin Prabhakaran songs are good but his background score was excellent.

Concerns

The starting of the movie was good but songs are huge speed breaker for the movie. The film which runs in a medium pace was completely made slow by the songs. The film running time is a bit of concern. Vijay Sethupathy's love portion was not much effective as Pannaiyars love portion. The film might have been trimmed some more to make its screen play better and fast.

But I can surely say that it is a must watch, feel good family entertainer. Hats off to the director for bringing up village culture lively without any serious conflicts. The film is definitely worth watchable. The film is surely has the quality of so called world movies.
